Sky View Road Between Lucretia Ave. and Jupiter Dr.
April 2, 2025
On April 2, 2025, JCSD responded to localized asphalt settling on Sky View Road between Lucretia Ave and Jupiter Dr. because of a compromised joint in the water main. JCSD promptly identified and repaired the joint in the water main, which was immediately followed by restoring the public roadway. Completion of all repairs and roadway restoration is estimated to be completed by Friday, April 11, or early the following week.
Important Notes:
- Upon completion, JCSD will monitor the area over the coming weeks to ensure the issue has been resolved and to maintain safe and reliable service for customers.
- There is no risk to private properties or customers in the area, as this issue was isolated to the public roadway.
- JCSD has provided updates to affected customers and the City of Jurupa Valley.
- JCSD Public Affairs visited every impacted customer home to provide information and answer questions.
- Asphalt settling can be common symptom of some sort of leak in a pipeline.
