Steven Popelar is the Director of Finance & Administration at Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD), bringing extensive experience in finance and accounting. Mr. Popelar oversees the Department of Finance, which includes Customer Service, Finance, and Information Technology Divisions. He has been with JCSD since 2012, previously operating his own CPA firm specializing in business consulting, taxation, GAAP, and OCBOA financial statements. Mr. Popelar also served as a Partner at Collet & Levy, CPAs, and held senior positions at several other financial firms.
Mr. Popelar holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Accounting from California State University, Northridge, and a Master of Business Taxation from the University of Southern California. He is a Certified Public Accountant licensed by the California Board of Accountancy. His expertise in financial management and strategic planning enhances JCSD’s fiscal oversight and administrative operations.
