Jurupa Valley, CA (December 20, 2024) – At its recent Board Meeting, the Jurupa Community Services District (JCSD) Board of Directors selected Director Betty Folsom as President for 2025.

Hailing from Division 3, President Folsom is a lifelong resident of Jurupa Valley and brings extensive experience to her new role. She previously served as vice president in 2024 and as president in 2020. Holding a Bachelor of Arts degree and Secondary Teaching Credential from Cal State University Fullerton, and a Master of Education degree from Azusa Pacific University, she dedicated 25 years of service as a teacher, counselor, and administrator to the Jurupa Unified School District and the Riverside County Office of Education.

Throughout her career, President Folsom has earned numerous credentials and certificates in administration and student support services and has served on state and federal task forces and committees focused on children’s education, health, and well-being.

“It is a privilege to serve our community as President, and I am committed to upholding JCSD’s mission of delivering exceptional service to our customers,” said President Folsom. “I look forward to leading JCSD while striving to advance proactive solutions that benefit the Eastvale and Jurupa Valley communities and strengthen our infrastructure.”

President Folsom has represented Division 3 on the JCSD Board of Directors since 2017. Division 3 is primarily located in Jurupa Valley.

Vice President Herda, who will serve alongside President Folsom, was elected to the Board of Directors from Division 5 in 2022. Division 5 is located in Eastvale, east of Harrison Avenue, and west of Hamner Avenue.
