The Project

JCSD remains proactive in modernizing and maintaining our infrastructure to keep rates affordable for our customers. To provide our customers with the highest quality water and service, JCSD has embarked on the Service Line Upgrade Project in Eastvale and Jurupa Valley, replacing the aging service lines outside of homes.

Currently, these pipes are of polyethylene (poly) material but will be replaced with stronger piping. Upgrading thousands of these service lines is part of JCSD’s long-term commitment to providing safe and reliable service.

Extending Life & Minimizing Risk

Upgrading service lines with copper-coated material will extend the life of the pipe, allowing customers to have reliable service for decades to come. The new copper-coated piping is strong! This material will minimize the risk of costly leaks and breaks due to its exceptional durability.

Dollars Saved

JCSD is coordinating with the City and their road paving project. This coordination leads to more efficient road repaving, resulting in cost savings for ratepayers while minimizing disruption.

Timeline

Your water will be shut off for an estimated one hour while the water lines in front of your home are replaced.

JCSD will repair the road via a quilted temporary patch followed by a permanent asphalt patch.

Soon after the patchwork is completed, the road will be permanently paved through coordination with the city.
