Dance teacher instructing children

There are two volunteer programs designed so that residents can become more involved in the community and enjoy a rewarding experience. As a JCSD volunteer or as a volunteer for a local Eastvale sports league, you will have fun, meet new people, and enhance the parks and recreation experience for the community.

JCSD Volunteer Program

The JCSD Parks & Recreation Department believes that volunteers play an integral role in our daily operations. Volunteering is important because it fosters community connection, promotes personal growth, and helps us bring great service to the community. By giving your time, you can make a tangible difference in the lives of others, gain new experiences, and develop valuable skills.

Sports League Volunteer

Volunteers play a key role when coordinating and hosting safe and successful organized sporting league activities. In addition to the condition of athletic fields and facilities, it is important to ensure that volunteers are screened to ensure the safety of our community.
To volunteer for an organized sports league that is not coordinated through JCSD such as Eastvale Girls Softball Association, Eastvale Little League, Empire Soccer and other local leagues, please purchase a Background Check request.

Please allow for five (5) business days for processing of the background screenings. You will not be contacted once your background screening has been completed. Please visit the Neighborhood Center, 13099 65th Street, Eastvale or the Eastvale Community Center, 13820 Schleisman Road, Eastvale, to pick up your printed badge once (5) five business days has passed. Valid photo identification with date of birth is required at pick up.

The California Penal Code Section 11105 allows public agencies such as JCSD to obtain State summary criminal background information from the Department of Justice. Please download Background Checks for Volunteers to view the JCSD Background Procedures.

Once the background check information is received, the results are reviewed by the Jurupa Community Services District Park Director or his/her designee. Summary information of the Background Check along with background check printouts highlighting any red flags are forwarded to the Jurupa Community Services District General Manager for further determination and processing.
